The panel

What Is Inside GlycoAid

Fourteen ingredients inside a 500 mg proprietary formulation. A page apiece, each carrying its own evidence grade.

Proprietary formulation — 500 mgServing size: 1 capsule · 30 servings per bottle
Berberine

Berberine

The alkaloid the formula leads with, studied for how cells take glucose in.

02

Cinnamon Bark

A kitchen spice with the longest run of human trials in this category.

04

Banaba Leaf

A Philippine tree leaf carrying corosolic acid, drunk as tea for generations.

Bitter Melon

Bitter Melon

A gourd eaten daily across Asia, bitter enough that nobody eats it by mistake.

06

Alpha-Lipoic Acid

A compound your own mitochondria make, active in both water and fat.

07

Chromium

A trace mineral with a published intake figure and a settled nutrition role.

08

Biotin

Vitamin B7, without which five carboxylase enzymes simply stop.

White Mulberry Leaf

White Mulberry Leaf

Fed to silkworms for centuries, and carrying a molecule shaped enough like sugar to matter.

10

Turmeric Root

The rhizome behind curry colour and one of the most studied plants alive.

11

Juniper Berry

Not a berry but a cone, and the reason gin tastes the way it does.

12

Maca Root

A root crop farmed higher up a mountain than almost any other food plant.

Goji Berry

Goji Berry

A dried fruit from Ningxia, unusually rich in the carotenoid zeaxanthin.

14

Licorice Root

Fifty times sweeter than sugar by weight, and the one item here with a ceiling.

Outside the blend: a vegetable cellulose shell, rice flour and magnesium stearate.

How To Read This Panel

Supplement labels print ingredients in descending order by weight. On this bottle that means Berberine carries more of the 500 mg than anything below it and licorice root carries the least. That is the whole yield of the ordering rule. It cannot say whether the first name is 300 mg or 60 mg.

The rest of this page tries to turn that limit into something usable instead of talking past it.

The Evidence Grades

Every panel page carries one of four grades. They describe the research behind the ingredient, not behind this product, and they are never averaged into a single number anywhere on this site.

The Four Jobs

Grouped by what they are actually doing, the panel reads far more clearly. Glucose uptake and insulin sensitivity: Berberine, alpha-lipoic acid and Chromium. Carbohydrate absorption and sweet taste: gymnema, white mulberry and banaba leaf. Antioxidant support: turmeric, goji berry and again alpha-lipoic acid. Traditional-use items: maca, juniper and licorice, with bitter melon and cinnamon bark alongside them.

Two Worth Reading Separately

Two names come up more than the rest. Berberine is printed first, so it carries the largest share of the blend, and chromium is the one item with an established nutritional role rather than a contested one.

What The Blend Does Not Tell You

Research on these ingredients was done at specific doses, mostly one ingredient at a time. A proprietary blend declares one combined weight, so no trial maps onto this capsule directly. That is the single most important thing to understand about this label, which is why it sits on the front page rather than in a footnote.
